TERMS OF SERVICE

Terms of Service

Effective date · 2026-05-15 — last updated · 2026-05-16

These terms govern your use of Flikt, the screenshot uploader, and the default Flikt server at img.fisicaro.xyz. By installing the app and signing in, you agree to these terms.

SECTION · 01

What Flikt does

Hotkey to public URL.

Flikt is a desktop app that captures a screen region on a keyboard shortcut and uploads the resulting image to your own Google Drive via the Flikt server. The server creates a short public URL for each upload that anyone with the URL can use to view the image.

SECTION · 02

Acceptable use

Acceptable use, plain prose.

You agree not to use Flikt to upload, share, or store content that:

  • infringes the intellectual property rights of others;
  • contains sexually explicit material involving minors;
  • is illegal in your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction of viewers;
  • is designed to harass, defame, or threaten a specific person;
  • contains malware, phishing payloads, or other malicious code;
  • uses the service to spam, scrape, or generate automated load.

We may remove content and revoke access without notice if we receive a credible report that uploads violate these rules, or if automated abuse detection flags the account.

SECTION · 03

Quotas + abuse mitigation

The default server enforces:

  • A per-user upload cap (oldest images evicted when exceeded).
  • A per-IP rate limit on sign-in attempts.
  • A per-user daily upload limit.

These limits exist to keep the server usable for everyone. We may adjust them without notice.

SECTION · 04

Reporting abuse

To report an image that violates these terms, email [email protected] with the URL and a brief description. Verified takedowns happen within 48 hours; the uploader's account may also be suspended pending review.

SECTION · 05

No warranty

Provided as-is, no warranty.

Flikt is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. The service may be unavailable, your uploads may be lost, and we may shut the service down at any time. If we plan to shut down, we'll publish at least 30 days' notice in the GitHub repo README, and your image files will remain in your own Google Drive regardless.

SECTION · 06

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the operator of the Flikt server is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Flikt. The operator's total liability for direct damages is capped at €0 (Flikt is free; no consideration was paid).

SECTION · 07

Open source license

MIT — fork if you'd rather.

The Flikt source code is licensed under MIT and lives at github.com/FisiFla/flikt. You're welcome to fork it and run your own server under your own terms.

SECTION · 08

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we change them materially we'll publish a new version here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continuing to use Flikt after a change means you accept the new terms.

SECTION · 09

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Austria. Disputes that can't be resolved by email will be settled in the courts of Vienna.
